本次大法會由直貢噶舉派主辦，而由寶吉祥佛法中心　仁欽多吉仁波切協辦，直貢噶舉派現今十分興旺，有八百三十多年的歷史，祖寺為西藏的直貢梯寺，目前在中國西藏、青海等地有一百多座佛寺，在全世界也有一百多個佛法中心，而在台灣這塊不大的土地上，便有超過二十個直貢中心，也是最多中心的地方。
On June 6, 2010, at the Taipei Arena, His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang presided over The Grand 793rd Anniversary Memorial Puja of Drikung Kagyu Lord Jigten Sumgon. Up to 14000 attended the puja. There were seven Rinpoches and three Khenpos of Drikung Kagyu Order attended this puja, including Gyabra Tritsab Rinpoche, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, Bhumang Rinpoche, Senge Tenzin Rinpoche, Rasbsang Rinpoche, Yeshi Rinpoche, Palme Khyentse Rinpoche. And it was attended by 4 Khenpos, including Khenpo Namdol, Khenpo Yeshi and Khenpo Tsultrim from Drikung Kagyu and Nagwanjeema from Sakya. Additionally, 21 ordained lamas and anis from Drikung Kagyu, Karma Kagyu, Barom Kagyu, and Sakya, and 44 ordained practitioners of Exoteric Buddhism also participated in the event. Attendees were from Taiwan, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, India, Nepal, Tibet, Thailand, the US, Canada, Germany, France, Holland, Australia, and Sweden.

This grand ceremony was hosted by the Drikung Kagyu Order. The abbot of GloriousJewelBuddhistCenter, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, was appointed to coordinate the event. The Drikung Kagyu Lineage, with its tradition lasting over 830 years, is prosperous now. Its main temple is Drikung Thil Monastery in Tibet. There are also more than one hundred Buddhist temples in Tibet, Qinghai and other places in China. Besides, there are also more than one hundred centers all over the world, while in Taiwan, this small land has more than twenty Drikung centers, outnumbering other regions.
